Services held for Regina Theis, 97
Regina Theis, 97, of New Haven died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage. Regina was born May 17, 1903 in Elma, the daughter of Otto and Rosina (Peters) Younker. She received her education at Catholic schools in Elma and continued her education at Columbia College in Dubuque, Iowa. She returned and taught several vears in rural schools in Howard Countv.
On June 4, 1924 she was united in marriage to Francis Theis in Elma. They farmed near New Haven. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society.
Funeral services were Saturday, April 28, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in New Haven with Father Ray E. Atwood officiating. Interment was in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in New Haven.
Regina is survived by: three daughters, Dolores Steffen and her husband Jim of Riceville, Catherine Marr of Sheboygan, Wisc., and Pauline Ovel and her husband Walt of New Hampton; two sons, Dean Theis and wife, and Don Theis and his wife Patricia, all of New Haven; and 22 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents, husband, Francis in 1987, three brothers, one sister, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
