Services held for Adam Samec
Funeral services for Adam Samec were held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17 at the Assumption Worship Center in Cresco. The
Rev. Henry W. Charipar and Rev. Michael Fitzgerald officiated. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Cresco. Conway Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Adam, 20, died Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at his home.
Adam Jon Samec was born December 8, 1980 in Cresco, the son of Adam and Vicky (Franks) Samec. He was baptized and confirmed in his faith at the same church in which he remained a member and was employed during the last five years. Adam attended Crestwood Elementary and graduated with honors from Crestwood High School in May of 1999. During this time he developed his talent for art and writing. He loved to write, especially music. He taught himself how to play the guitar and his dream was to write songs. He liked to draw and was an artist in the true sense of the word.
Survivors include his father: Adrian of Cresco; his mother and stepfather: Vicky and Tony Reicks of Ridgeway; one brother: Chris of Cresco; a half sister: Jessica Reicks of Ridgeway; his grandparents: Richard and Yvonne Franks of Cresco, JoAnn and Jim Hale of Sacramento, CA, and Bill and Anna Samec of Cresco.
