Funeral services for Dorothy Groenwald were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19 at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Lime Springs. The Rev. Linda Johnson officiated. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Dorothy, 87, died Saturday, April 14, 2001 at her home.
Dorothy Groenwald was born August 6, 1913 the daughter of Wilbur and Diana (Harris) Brynes of Reinbeck. She graduated from Reinbeck High School in 1930.
On February 18, 1931 she married Harold W. Groenwald in New Ulm, MN. She and Harold moved to Lime Springs in 1951. Dorothy was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband Harold; one son: Robert of Bear Lake, MI; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; three brothers: Wendell of Grundy Center, Edwin of Devils Lake, ND, and Lawrence of Waterloo; and a sister: Faye Benway of Littleton, CO.
Dorothy was preceded in death by one great-grandchild; her parents, three brothers: Theodore, Harris and George; and one sister: Florence Viken.
