Sigrid Fritcher, 80, services held
Funeral services for Sigrid Fritcher of Lime Springs were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 7 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lime Springs. Rev. Linda Johnson officiated. Spring interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lime Springs. Lindstrom Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Sigrid, 80, dial Friday, January 5, 2001 at Evans Memorial Home in Cresco.
Sigrid Fritcher was born April 17, 1920 in Boken, Norway, the daughter of Erick and Dina (Gismervik) Loden. Her family came to the U.S. and she attended school and graduated from Osage High School in 1938.
On April 1, 1943 she married Tom Fritcher in Osage. The couple farmed in the Cresco and Lime Springs area for many years. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband Tom; three daughters: Sandra Wallace of Estherville, Dianne Wyatt of Decorah, and Jean Bowser of Chester; two sons: Russ of Saratoga and Dave of Lime Springs; and 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother: Donald; and four sisters: Marie Wymore, Nadine Heman, Ruth Fritcher, and Emma Secar.
Sigrid was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and four sisters.
