Funeral services for Loren Carman were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. George John officiating. Inurnment was in New Oregon Cemetery in Cresco. Conway Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Loren, 94, died Sunday, September 30, 2001 at the Evans Memorial Home in Cresco.
Loren Clinton Carman was bom October 6, 1906 in Webster, SD, the son of Frank and Ethel (Ruth) Carman. He grew up and attended school in Perry and Cresco. He entered the United States Army Air Corps on May 11, 1942 and was honorably discharged on February 27, 1945.
On September 4, 1948 he married Helen Judd in Cresco. Following her death, he married Gertrude Terbeest on December 19, 1979 in Cresco.
Loren was a life-long active member of the First Baptist Church. He spent a number of his early years participating in mission work in California and Tennessee. He retired as a self-employed pump repair person.
He enjoyed gardening.
Loren was preceded in death by his two wives; his parents; and one brother: Eldon.
