I. P. Markham, formerly of this place, who has been living at Worthington, S. D., of late years, died at Hot Springs, S. D. Dec. 8, 1897. He was born at Great Valley, Cattaraugus county, N. Y. in 1822. He was in the army under Sheridan in all his campaigne.{sic} He was an elder brother of B. O. Markham of this place.
