Iowa Plain Dealer June 22, 1897, FP, C5

W. L. Henderson, who has several years been a grain buyer on the line of the C. M. & St. Paul Ry., at LeRoy, Lime Springs and Cresco, died at Riceville, at the home of his son, Saturday morning, June 19, Owing to ill health he left here last fall, going to a Sanitarium in Michigan for treatment, remaining a few months. Not getting the relief he expected he went to National City, California, where disappointment likewise awaited him. Thus disappointed in the search for health, he returned to Riceville a short time since, passing away as noted. He was a man of sterling integrity, pure in character, and devoted to his home and friends. He was brother to Col. D. B. Henderson and had a brother in California, formerly a banker at LeRoy. A widow and two or more children survive him, but we are without data farther than above given.
