Peter Briegel, a native of Germany, died of paralysis at the home of his son John Briegel, in New Oregon, Tuesday morning, January 14, at the advanced age of 83 years. Deceased came to the United States in 1869, and to this countv six years ago. Six children survive him, his wife died some 23 years ago. His interment will take place in the Catholic cemetery at Preston, Minn. He had been in poor health for nearly the entire period of his residence in this county. He was said by the neighbors and people who knew him to have been a good citizen and neighbor—an honest man.
