Carole J. Otto passed away June 5, 2013 due to kidney failure at Mesa Vista in Boulder. She was 72. Carole was born on November 10, 1940 in Laurens, IA to Samuel and Janice (Peterson) Richardson. She graduated from Cresco High School in Cresco, IA in 1958 where Carole was a 4.0 student, member of the National Honor Society, and Class Solitarian. On September 26, 1959 she married Wayne Otto in Cresco, IA. Together they moved to Boulder, CO in 1977. Carole enjoyed reading, knitting, ceramics, needle point, bowling and playing cards. She will be remembered for her outgoing, gregarious, generous, honest and loving personality. She loved being with people and was always ready to go and enjoy life. She loved animals especially her cats. Carole was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Jim. She is survived by her husband Wayne; her children Kerry Moore and Kevin Otto; her grandchildren Kyle Moore, Grant Otto, and Gillian Otto; brothers Gary and Reginald; and sister Jan.

Cemetery:
Private burial will take place at a later time at New Oregon Cemetery in Cresco, IA.
