Isabelle Jean Kratz, 91, of Green River, Wyoming passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Cast Rock Convalescent Center in Green River. A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, December 17, 2012 at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Cresco with Fr. Dennis Cahill officiating. Inurnment will follow in New Oregon Cemetery, rural Cresco. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, December 16 at 4 pm at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco where friends may call from 3:30 to 4:15 pm Isabelle Jean Kratz was born on October 15, 1921 in McIntire, Iowa, the daughter of the late John and Bernice (Kinner) Quinn. Mrs. Kratz attended schools in Cresco, Iowa. She married Glen Edward Kratz in Nashua, Iowa on October 6, 1940 and he preceded her in death on October of 1975. Her interests included fishing, her dog Chloe, watching western movies, and was an avid reader. She was a resident of Green River for the past one year and prior to moving to Wyoming she spent eleven years living in the Omaha, Nebraska area. Survivors include her two daughters; Connie Holthaus and Donna Lukes both of Green River, Wyoming; one son Edward Kratz and fiance Paula of Omaha, Nebraska; three sisters Louise Zahasky of Decorah, Iowa, Marjorie Halverson of West Union, Iowa and Doris Osterhoudt of Reno, Nevada; one granddaughter Dawn (Shawn) Kirchert of Council Bluffs, Iowa; two grandsons Michael (Nancy) Kratz of Atkinson, Nebraska and Robert (Ann) Kratz of Raleigh, North Carolina; five great-grandchildren Alexis Kirchert and Lillian Kirchert both of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Katelyn Kratz, Madison Kratz and Jayden Kratz of Atkinson, Nebraska; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother Donald Quinn; two sisters Bernice O’Connell and Marion Pilbeam.
