Brian Allen Sovereign, 38, of Eyota, Minnesota passed away on September 19, 2011. Brian was born on December 29, 1972 in Cresco, Iowa. He is the son of Susan (Czaplewski) and James Sovereign. He attended Crestwood Elementary, Jr. High, and High School. He graduated from Crestwood High School in 1991. Brian went on to play football at Rochester Community College. He married Carolina Diaz-Diaz on February 1, 2002. Brian and Carolina later divorced. He was employed for 16 years at IBM in Rochester, Minnesota. Brian was excited about his new job offer to run a Fitness Center in Waverly, Iowa. Brian loved his family and friends and they always came first. He enjoyed playing fast-pitch softball, fishing, golfing, and hunting. Brian never went too far without his black lab, L.T. Brian always made every day count. His fun-loving and caring personality made him a special part of many people’s lives. Survivors include his parents James and Susan Sovereign, two sisters, Paula (Mike) Galvin and Kristine (Mark) Voves both of Cresco. Brian treasured his nieces and nephews, Nathan and Riley Galvin, and Jordan and Ashley Voves. Other survivors include his ex-wife Carolina Sovereign and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents Alois and Helen (Burgdorf) Czaplewski and Gerald and Elsie (Frank) Sovereign. Three aunts, Connie (Sovereign) Markham, Joan (Czaplewski) Cisewski, Carol (Czaplewski) Tews, three uncles Robert Czaplewski, Clyde Cisewski, and Kent Markham and his beloved black lab, L.T.
Cemetery:
