On July 12, 1868, at Vernon Springs, she was united in marriage to Peter I. DeLange who preceded her in death about one year ago. To this union nine children were born, eight of whom survive—Mrs. Isabella Cooley of McLaughlin, S. D., Mrs Pauline Gray, of Highmore, S. D., Ambrose, of Scobey, Montana, Claire, of Mobridge, N. D and Fred G., Frank, Mayme, and Mrs. Dr. Barbour, of Marmarth, N. D. She also leaves to mourn her loss, three sisters, Mrs. B. Isaacs and Mrs. Crowell, of Cresco, and Mrs. N. C. Meyer, of California.
Mrs. DeLange passed away Thursday, November 26th, at her home at Marmarth, N. D, to which place the family removed a few years ago and where her husband and son Fred entered the banking business.
The remains were brought to Cresco for interment, funeral services in charge of the Eastern Star, being held at the Congregational church, Dr. Robertson officiating. Interment was in the family lot in Oak Lawn.
The death of Mrs. DeLange removes another of the few remaining pioneer settlers of Howard County, and who in her long residence here won the respect of a wide circle of friends who sincerely mourn the loss of a good neighbor and friend.
