Henry C. Obert was born in Ohio, Nov. 19, 1838, and died Sept. 1913, at Minneapolis. When a young: man he enlisted as a volunteer, the war closing at about the end of his period of enlistment. He returned to his former home and assisted his blind father in carrying on his 100 acre farm until his younger brothers were able to do so, when he with his own family removed to Palo Alto county, Iowa, remaining there a few years and then moving to Minneapolis where he resided until his death. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, three sons and two daughters, a sister and two brothers. He was a true friend and good neighbor. Long may his memory live.
