Carlton H. Shumway, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Shumway, of Minneapolis, died in Sierra Madre, California, February 1st, after an illness of five months. Mr. Shumway went to California about three years ago expecting to make his home there. Last fall his parents went to California intending to spend the winter, finding him in poor health they remained with him until the last. He was 44 years of age and leaves a wife and three sons, his parents, two brothers and one sister to mourn his early death. The deceased was laid to rest in Sierra Madre, California.
