Yvonne Fravel, 67, of Cresco, IA passed away in her sleep on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 of acute kidney failure at Wellington Place in Decorah, IA.

Yvonne (Spinler) Fravel was born August 14, 1941 to Frank and Lara (Edridge) Spinler in Evergreen township, Langlade County, WI. She attended school through the 10th grade. She began playing piano by ear for the Church of God at age 13. At age 18, Yvonne married Val Lewis. To this union two children were born, Daniel Val of New Hampton and Brenda Lee (Jonathan) Belisle of Jacksonville, FL.

Then in 1967, Yvonne married Robert Peter Fravel at the little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa after courting by mail through a Christian dating service. She took on two stepchildren, Karen Margaret (Brad) Hurst of Cresco and Richard Peter (Ann) of Mable, MN. They enjoyed 38 years of marriage and continued to farm all this time, with Yvonne raising large gardens. To this union two children were born, Rose Yvonne (William K.) Goetsch and Ronald Robert (Rinetta) both of Cresco, IA. Yvonne became a member of the Assembly of God church in March, 1973 and took a turn as piano player for a few years.

Yvonne is survived by two brothers and one sister, six children, 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and one grandchild, Roger Alden Goetsch.

Pleasant Hill in Lime Springs, IA

Visitation:
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.

Service:
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Cresco, IA.
