George G. Melver, 54, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the Regional Health Services of Howard County in Cresco. It was George's wishes to donate his body to Medical Science. No funeral services were held.

George Gary Melver was born December 10, 1954 the son of George W. and Francis (Morgan) Melver in Lawton, OK. He graduated from North Winneshiek Schools. He worked at Featherlite and Rawhide, as well as a few other places. He was a good worker and friend.

He is survived by his wife: Bonnie; a son: Shain Stevens; three stepchildren: Angie, John, and Steve Fulton; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother; a daughter: Melinda; and a brother: John Dee.
