Ada Frye, age 94 of Waterloo, IA and formerly of Cresco, died Wed, April 26 at New Aldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls, IA.

Ada was born October 22, 1922 at Osage, Iowa to William and Blanche (Meador) Beaston. Ada married James Long on August 6, 1943, he preceded her in death in 1950, she later married Clinton 'Sammy' Frye, they later divorced. For most of her adult life Ada lived in Waterloo where she worked for many years as a bookkeeper at various locations in Waterloo, retiring from Fox Shoe Store. She always enjoyed her family reunions. Loved to dance, especially Polkas and the Two-step. When her grandchildren were young she enjoyed preparing their birthday dinners and making the cake with dimes in the cake for the kids to find.

Ada is survived by two children: Michael 'Mick' (Beverly) Long of Waterloo and Kathy Sue (Wayne) Hooper of Hialeah, FL; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren
Three siblings: Harold (Sheila) Beaston of Green Briar, AR, Edna Buchholz of Mt Carroll, IL and Carol Ingersol of Sabula, IA. Ada was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Long, a son James and his wife Vi, seven siblings: Wilma, Alta, Elsie, Alice, Lawrence, Kenny and Dean.
