Frank Vlk services held Tuesday

Funeral services for Frank Vlk were held at 12:00 noon Tuesday, April 25 at the St. Joseph’s Worship Center in Cresco. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery. Conway Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Frank, 85, died Saturday, April 22, 2000 at the Regional Health Services of Howard County Hospital in Cresco.

Frank Adolph Vlk was born in Bejou, MN, on March 3, 1915 the son of John and Josephine (Strnad) Vlk. He attended school in Bejou. He helped his parents with farm chores. He moved to the Protivin and Cresco area with his parents and worked as a farm laborer. Frank entered the Evans Memorial Home January 19, 1998.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Protivin Council. Frank enjoyed playing jokes on family and friends and playing cards.

He is survived by two sisters, Agnes Shileny of Cresco and Carrie Jirik of Mahnomen, Mn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Henry, Joseph and John; and one sister, Mary Vlk.
