DIED

In Afton, June 11, 1872, Sister Clara, wife of D. E. Potter, aged about 27 years.

The deceased was a devoted Christian, a kind mother and an affectionate wife.

After an illness of ten days she was called to try the realities of another world, giving abundant evidence that her work was well done. May the bereaved husband and children trust in the same high power in this deep affliction, and the aged grandpa and the little Charlie, upon whom this sad loss falls so heavy, may they be protected by the One who careth for the lambs of the flock.

The funeral was attended by a very large concourse of friends and neighbors. The sermon was preached by Rev. C. F. Nelson: the text taken from her own words, "I know in whom I have trusted."

The bereaved family have the sympathy of many friends in their sad affliction

I. P. T.
