Services held tor Edna Miller

Funeral services for Edna Miller were held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 13 at the Assumption Worship Center in Cresco. Rev. Henry W. Charipar officiated. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Cresco. Casket bearers were: Brian and Jill McConnell, Stan and Ann Coughlin, and Jeff and Colleen Peckham. Conway Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Edna, 81, died Sunday, December 10, 2000 at the Regional Health Services Hospital in Cresco.

Edna Cecelia Miller was born June 27, 1919 at Elma. She attended the rural school near Elma and as a young lady, moved with her family to Cresco.

On January 14, 1942 she married Milton E. Miller at Cresco. Following their marriage, they moved to Vancouver, WA where they made their home until they retired and moved back to Cresco in October of 1996.

Edna was an owner operator of a grocery-meat market in Vancouver, was a volunteer, did a lot of work at the share house in Vancouver, was active in the Elks, was a member of the Emblem Club, and after she moved to Cresco, became active in the Assumption Altar and Rosary Society, and was a pink lady for the hospital auxiliary.

Survivors include three sisters: Irene McGee of Austin, MN, Geneva Peckham and Margaret Burkett, both of Cresco.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband Milton in 1997, her parents, six brothers: Donald, George, Thomas, William, James, and Richard Cummings; and one sister: Marie O’Neil.
