ELMA - Martha Y. "Marty" Meyer, 61, Cascade, WI, formerly of Elma, died Aug. 19, 2000 of cancer.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 24 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cascade.

Martha Iverson was born Dec. 11, 1938 in Elma, the daughter of Alvie O. and Gladys (Nelson) Iverson. She was baptized on Jan. 15, 1939 and confirmed on May 24, 1953 at the Jerico Lutheran Church, rural New Hampton. Marty was a graduate of New Hampton High School. On May 28, 1960 she married George Meyer of Waupaca, WI at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple resided in Milwaukee, Waupaca and for the last 23 years in Cascade. She worked at Bemis Manufacturing in Sheboygan Falls for 22 years, and this past vear she received an award for 15 years of service in the Traffic Department. Marty was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cascade.

Survivors include her husband, George Meyer, Cascade, WI; two daughters, Shelley (Curt) Hueppchen, Plymouth, WI, Sara Meyer, Madison, Wi; three sons, Kevin (Carol) Meyer, Sheboygan Falls, WI, David (Kelly) Meyer, Plymouth, Bob (Betty) Meyer, Cascade; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; her mother, Gladys Iverson, Elma; five sisters, Delores Korth, Florida, Joyce Helweg, Illinois, MaryLee Hoffmann, Nancy (Joe) Flores and Judy (Dave) Berentsen, all of Iowa; three brothers, Odell (Mary Ann) Iverson, Washington, Marvin (Linda) Iverson and Duane (Barb) Iverson, Minnesota.

Preceding her in death was her father.
