Services held for Darwin Harding

Memorial services for Darwin Harding were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 29 at the Conway Funeral Home in Cresco. The Rev. Tim Sir officiated. Burial of ashes will be at a later date.

Darwin, 58, died Sunday, February 17, 2000 at Mercy Hospital in Mason City, IA of natural causes.

Darwin Stanley Harding was born on November 26, 1941, at Kandiyohi, MN, the son of Thomas and Jessie (Blahoski) Harding.

After school he went to the United States Army from 1961 to 1964. He later began trucking and in the early 1970’s came to Cresco while working with Johnsrud Trucking. Eventually, he went on to truck for himself.

Survivors include two sons: Bob of Oelwein and Craig of El Paso, TX; three daughters: Karen McGrane of Shellsburg, Barb Jager son of Austin, MN, and Becky Jahr of Cresco; four grandchildren; his mother: Leona Harding of Eloy, AZ; two brothers: Duane of Litchfield, MN and Darrell of Arizona City, AZ; and two sisters: Lila Bergh of St. Cloud, MN and Linda Lawson of Arizona City, AZ.

Darwin was preceded in death by one son: David in infancy and one brother Donald.
