Arnold Bigalk, age 89 of Harmony, Minnesota died Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Arnold Martin Bigalk was born November 19, 1927, in Cresco, Iowa to Harry and Florence (Phillips) Bigalk. Arnold was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Granger, of which he was a life-long member. Arnold attended the Brokken School and graduated from Harmony High School with the class of 1945. Arnold was a life-long Harmony area farmer, he worked his farm land until he was 88 years old. Arnold was gifted with his hands; he could do, and fix, most anything. He was treasurer of the Harmony Shipping Association and a member of the Harmony Township board of Supervisors. Arnold enjoyed bowling, flying, wood working, going to the State Fair and deer hunting in northern Minnesota.

Arnold is survived by a sister-in-law, Kay Bigalk of Harmony and nine nieces and nephews: Kim, Terry, Todd, Barry, Vicki, Leigh Ann, Trena, Gwen and Gerri Rae. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings: Kenneth Bigalk and Harriet Hansen along with Harriet's husband, Rodney.
