Wilbur Dozark, age 60, of Chester, Iowa died Sunday, July 24, 2016 at his home.
William "Wilbur" Dozark was born February 19, 1956 in Cresco, Iowa to William C. and Joyce M. (Patton) Dozark. When he was a young child his family moved to Houlton, Wisconsin where he grew up. Wilbur married Kathleen Raymo on December 28, 1974 at his parent's home farm, rural Lime Springs. Wilbur was a jack-of-all trades, primarily he worked as a truck driver and logger. For many years he was a member of the Lime Springs/Chester Fish and Game Club. Wilbur loved to tell stories and being outdoors; frequently collecting rocks that he'd polish. As an artist he enjoyed working with wood and driftwood, creating whatever entered his mind, some items he painted. His number one hobby was taking care of the motorcycle he created; it began with a frame which he built into what it became today.
Wilbur is survived by his wife, Kathleen Dozark, of Chester, Iowa; four children: Jennifer (Damen) Warkentin of Kansas, Melissa (Corey) Gates of Lime Springs, William "Jack" (Dawn) Dozark of Cresco, and Keisha (Nick) Bongle of Chester; thirteen grandchildren; his mother, Joyce Dozark of Lime Springs and a sister, Lisa "Maggie" Hughes of Lime Springs. Wilbur was preceded in death by his father, William Charles Dozark; a brother, Randal Dozark; and a grandson, Leslee Dozark.
