ELMA — Janice Freidhof, 48, Elma, died Tuesday, July 18 at her home of cancer.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 21 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Elma with Rev. Roger R. Rethamel officiating. Marge Gansen will be organist and accompany the I.C. Church Choir singing "Be Not Afraid", "On Eagle's Wings", "Here I Am Lord" and "Amazing Grace". Lector will be Keith Roethler. Eucharistic Ministers will be John Loes and Amber Knecht. Mass servers will be Craig, Eric and Amy Kobliska. Janice's children will place the pall. Gift bears will be the Knecht family.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Dennis and Mary Ptacek, Mike and Rosie Zeimetz, Bruce and Callie Weigel, Merle and Marilyn Worple, John and Sandy Lentz and Steve and Sheila Kobliska serving as casket bearers. Honorary bearers will be grandchildren, Jessie Dale Parke, William Kyle Parke and Clayton Tillman Parke.

Visitation was 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 20 at Conway Funeral Home in Elma with a 7 p.m. Scripture Service and also an hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Janice F. Freidhof was born March 12, 1952 at Tompkinsville, KY, the daughter of Edward and Ruby (Abston) Ferguson. She graduated from Monroe County High School in 1970. She then worked as a cocktail waitress at Johnny B's in Greensburg, PA. Janice was united in marriage with Myron Freidhof on Nov. 21, 1986 at New Stanton, PA. After their marriage, the couple resided in Youngwood, PA for two years, then move moved to Elma where they were currently residing. Janice was employed at Sara Lee from 1989 until the plant closed. While at Sara Lee, she served as a Union Steward. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and Rosary Society in Elma. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, golf and fishing.

Surviving are her husband, Myron, Elma; two sons, Johnny (Robin) Parke, Summer Shade, KY, Cy Joe Freidhof, Elma; one daughter, Betsy (Bob) Ptacek, Elma; three grandchildren; one brother, James (Rita) Ferguson, Temple Hill, KY; very special relatives, Jerry (Cathy) Ferguson and their sons, Summer Shade, KY; father and mother-in-law, Cy and Jeanne Freidhof, Alta Vista.

Preceding her in death were her parents and grandparents.
