Funeral services for Louie Decker Sr. were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 12 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Lime Springs. Linda Johnson officiated. Interment was in New Oregon Cemetery at Cresco. Pall bearers were: ____ Sjullie, Harry Blackburn, ____ Munkel, John Petru, Dale, ____ and Arnold DeRuiter. Lindstrom Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Louie, 93, died Tuesday, August __, 2000 at Evans Memorial Home Cresco.

Louie Henry Decker, Sr. was born February 7, 1907 in Schley, son of Charles and Blanche (____1) Decker.

On October 25, 1934 he married Rose Koester in Preston, MN. They farmed and lived in this area until his retirement in 1974 when they moved to Lime Springs.

Survivors include his wife Rose; three daughters: Betty Roesler of Lime Springs, Arlene Sjullie of Cedar Rapids, and Luella Postel of ___tral City; three sons: Carl of ___er, Donald of Tyler, TX, and ____ie of Cedar Rapids; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren. Louie was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Law___ce and Charles.
