Charles Collins, 59, Omaha, Nebr., died March 16, 2000. He was a graduate from the High School in Cresco, Iowa, and went to college at Iowa State in Ames graduating with a degree in horticulture.

He was born Feb. 23, 1941 at Fredricksburg, Iowa, son of Florence and Claude Collins. He worked in the field of horticulture until 1976 when he moved to Omaha where he was an employee of the Farm Credit Bank.

Survivors include a brother and three sisters, Gertrude A. Hughes, Lime Springs; Donald W. Collins, Phoenix, Arizona; Marilyn E. Nanos, El Paso, Texas and Janice M. Pelley, Rockford, Illinois. Also seven nephews and three nieces, many great-nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Florence Collins.

A memorial service was held at the Larkin Funeral Home, Omaha, Thursday, March 23. . Interment will be at a later date in Oaklawn Cemetery at Cresco, Iowa.
