Lime Springs - Marilyn (Meg) Nicholas, age 77, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with funeral service to begin at 1 p.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Interment will follow at Rising Sun Cemetery.

Meg was born on June 23, 1938. She worked for 27 years at the Secretary of State office and retired in 1999.

She is survived by her son, Kane (Sarah) Nicholas of Des Moines, Iowa; her grandchildren, Bobbi, Dusty, Ryan, Trevor and Zoey; her companion, Lloyd Neubauer of Lime Springs, Iowa; her sister, Elsie Pint, and brother, Arnold Bronner, both of Arizona; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Meg was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Nicholas; her son, Mark Nicholas; her grandson, Timothy Allen; her brothers, William (Bill) Bronner, Hank (Henry) Bronner and Earl Bronner; and her sisters, Lydia Howard, Edith Benson, Marcella Haskovec, Betty Bates, Dorothy Rucker, Lorraine Geiken and Geraldine (Jet) Price.
