Mrs. Mary Engelhardt rites conducted at Chester
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Engelhardt, 97, were held July 2 at the United Lutheran church in Chester with the Rev. Curt Schneider officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill cemetery in Lime Springs with the Lindstrom Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. She died June 29 at the Reutlinger Care Center.
She was born Feb. 28, 1890 at St. Olaf, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Oleson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur; and a son, Leo.
Survivors include her sons, Myron of Waterloo, Delmare of Sacramento, Calif., Abner of Elma, Howard of Waterloo, Harry of Lime Springs, Carl of Hayward, Calif., Arthur of Waterloo and Orville of Chester; daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Marjorie) Granahan of Bellview and Mrs. Robert (Ione) Meyer of Lime Springs; 27 grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren; three sisters Mrs. Oscar (Nellie) Torkelson of Farmersburg, Mrs. Lillian Trudo of Luana and Mrs. Richard (Bertha) Bigler of Elkader.Times Plain Dealer July 6, 1977 P4A
