Cresco- Albert G. Monsen, 70, resident of Cresco and vicinity for many years, died Saturday after a period of ill health.

On May 20, 1897, he married Gertrude Rheingans, at Waverly. He was born near Waukon and lived in Allamakee county and later in Winneshiek county. He was a carpenter and painter by trade.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Oliver, of Cresco; and three daughters, Mrs. G. P. Fedorsin, Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Ray Allen, Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Murl Darrah, Granger, Minn.

Funeral services in charge of Bradley and Son, will be held in the First Lutheran church Friday afternoon. The Rev. A. W. Sorenson will officiate. Burial will be in Orleans cemetery, southeast of Cresco.
