A requiem mass was offered in the Cresco Saint Joseph Catholic church for Anna Raker, 83, of Dyersville, formerly of Cresco, who died in the Dubuque Mercy hospital Thursday following a lingering illness.

Offering the funeral mass was the Rev. Fred Bahning, pastor of the Bellevue Saint Joseph's church, a nephew of Miss Raker. Burial was in Calvary cemetery at Cresco with the Peckosh Funeral home in charge of the arrangements.

Miss Raker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Raker, was born at Dyersville, April 7, 1883. For many years she lived in Cresco, leaving here in 1953. At the time of her death she was making her home with her sister, Mrs. Leo (Frances) Bahning.

Surviving Miss Raker are two sisters and one brother, including Mrs. Louise Ovel of Dyersville, George Raker of Cresco, and Mrs. Frances Bahning of Dyersville, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Attending the funeral services from away were Miss Raker's nephews, the Rev. Fred Bahning of Belleview, and the Rev. Clarence J. Raker of Dubuque, and also Louis Raker, David Raker and Mrs. Marcella McKenzie, all of Austin, Jerry Ovel and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Nesler and family of Dyersville, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Raker of Minneapolis, and Mr. and Mrs. John Bahning and family of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Robert Gehrig of Dubuque.
