Priscilla Kallestad, age 65, of Rochester, Minn. died peacefully, Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012 at her home after a lengthy illness.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27 at Mahn Family Funeral Home – Rochester Chapel with Rev. Maurice Hagen officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Priscilla Mae Kellogg was born March 17, 1947 in Chester, Iowa to Max and Wanda (Myli) Kellogg. She lived in Charles City, Iowa until she was 10 years old, when her family moved to Rochester. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1965. On June 5, 1965 she married Mark Kallestad at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Rochester. Priscilla was a nursing assistant at Rochester Methodist Hospital for 24 years. She enjoyed cooking, canning, reading and going to the casino.
Survivors include her husband; her daughter, Lisa (James) McGurren of Rochester; her son, Blaine Kallestad of Rochester; four grandchildren, Joshua and Janaye McGurren and Tanner and Talon Kallestad.
Her parents and an infant son preceded her in death.
