Delores Buck, 81 of Cresco, Iowa, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Regional Health Services of Howard County in CrescoFriends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012. Delores Louise (Swender) Buck was born on July 15, 1930 in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of Clifford and Lucille (Turnbull) Swender.

Delores Buck, 81 of Cresco, Iowa, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Regional Health Services of Howard County in Cresco, IA, with her family by her side. Delores Louise (Swender) Buck was born on July 15, 1930 in Mason City, IA, the daughter of Clifford and Lucille (Turnbull) Swender. On September 6, 1952, she married Richard O. Buck, Sr. “Buck”, at the St. Nicholas Parish in Evansdale, IA. They traveled many places during her husband’s 20 years of service with the Marine Corp, and then settled down in Cresco in 1970 to raise their family. She enjoyed bowling, card club, gambling, crossword puzzles, going out to eat, and reading. She worked 25 years as a playground supervisor at Crestwood Elementary. Delores is survived by her husband Richard “Buck” of Cresco, her four children: DeeAnna Collier of Amery, WI, Richard Jr. (Rochel) of Cresco, IA, Becky (Greg) Creger of Cresco, IA, and Deb (Brad) Curtis of Kasson, MN, her grandchildren, Kerrie (Dan) Clark, Crystal (Brad) Stevenson, Kelsey Buck, Megan, Mallory, and Molly Creger, and Mitchell Curtis, 6 great-grandchildren, one sister, Dorothy (Walt) Brockway of Waterloo, IA, and one brother, Chuck (Karolyn) Swender of Evansdale, IA. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy, her parents, and a sister, Millie Powell.
