Jefferson James Martin, 5, of Lime Springs, Iowa, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2010 at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn., after his third battle with cancer. He was born October 29, 2004 in Cresco, Iowa.
Jeff was a boy of few words. But with his shy smile and twinkle in his eyes he was everybody’s friend. Jeff was his daddy’s shadow on the farm. He loved the farm life but could never make up his mind if he wanted to be a farmer or a truck driver like his grandpa. Jeff will be missed by all, but we are thankful that he is no longer suffering and that he is safe in the arms of Jesus.
He is survived by his parents, James and Monica Martin and siblings, Missy (7 years old) and Michael (2 years old).
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of God Christ Mennonite in Lime Springs, Iowa.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday evening and also one hour prior to services, both at the church. Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco, is handing the arrangements.
