OBITUARY.

Patrick Brophy who located in this county at the time of the land sale in 1855, departed this life July 3, 1895, aged about 75 years. The deceased was a native of the emerald isle and came to the United States when a young man. He buried his wife some eighteen years ago. Two children survive him James Brophy Jr., and Rema Brophy the latter about twenty years of age and the former is some three years his senior.

The deceased was a quiet, law-abiding citizen and an honest man. His funeral was largely attended from the Catholic Church at Lourdes.
