OBITUARY
Thomas Hayes died in Albion April 2, 1895, aged 94 years.
The deceased was born in Tipperary, Ireland and came to the United States in 1844. In 1867 he located on a farm in the northeast part of this county where he lived and died. He leaves three daughters and a son, Joseph Hayes, all of of{sic} whom were present at his bedside at the time of his dissolution. The three daughters reside in Chicago and are Mrs. Richard Cummings, Mrs. E. O. Ashman and Mrs. J. A. Ashworth, were all present and a son-in-law, Mr. M. W. Conway of Chicago. Mr. Hayes was an upright man and a good citizen, who had the respect and esteem of his neighbors as he deserved.
