Audrey Marie Ott, age 89, of Cresco, Iowa died Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Evans Home in Cresco.

Audrey Ott was born December 12, 1925 in Winneshiek County to Herbert and Mabel (Gunderson) Milbrath. Audrey was baptized at Orleans Church, rural Cresco and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Cresco. Audrey graduated from Cresco High School in 1944. On September 3, 1952 she married Melvin Ott at First Lutheran Church. Audrey was an active member of First Lutheran Church serving on the Altar Guild and active in its church circles. For over 25 years she was a cook for the Howard-Winneshiek School District. She and Mel delivered Meals on Wheels for several years. Her family always enjoyed her baking and cooking and each had their favorite things for her to prepare. She also enjoyed sports especially watching sports, in person and on TV. Audrey and Mel frequently traveled to Urbandale to attend school events their grandsons were in as well as traveling throughout the United States on bank sponsored trips. Audrey was a long time member of the American Legion Auxilary.

Audrey is survived by one son: Jim and his wife Jo Ott of Urbandale, Iowa; two grandsons: Bradley and his wife Erin Ott of Ankeny, Iowa and Marc Ott of Chicago, Illinois; a great-granddaughter, Noelle Ott of Ankeny, Iowa; two sisters: Hazel Amundson of Decorah, Iowa and Ethel Moen of Vinton, Iowa; and a sister-in-law Jeanette Milbrath of Moore, Oklahoma, and other extended family members. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mel in 2009, a sister, Geneva (Gareth) Vagts, two brothers: Lester Milbrath and George (Jeanette) Milbrath; two brothers-in-law: Alan Amundson and Selmer Moen.
