Dolores H. Augustine, 88, of Cresco, IA passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Evans Memorial Home Cresco, IA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2015, at Notre Dame Parish in Cresco, IA. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Cresco, IA. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015, at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home, 404 North Elm Street, Cresco, IA 52136 with a scripture service at 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue an hour prior to the time of service Friday at the church.

Dolores H. Becker was born on August 25, 1926, daughter of Mathew and Justine (Bormann) Becker in Burt, Iowa. On a rainy Wednesday morning June 1, 1949, Dolores married Gregory L. Augustine at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wesley, Iowa. Dolores was a woman of strong faith. She belonged to Notre Dame Parish, St. Gerard’s Study Club, and the Altar and Rosary Society. Dolores kept busy with quilting, crocheting, embroidery, sewing, and gardening. She enjoyed playing the card game Canasta, and bowling on Women’s League. Every summer Dolores looked forward to “Sister’s Party Weekend” with her 8 sisters. Above all Dolores cherished the moments spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Surviving Dolores is her daughter Barbara (Gary Mancini) Augustine of Stanton, California; daughter Kathy (Patrick) Kellenberger of Middle Amana, Iowa, and their children Beth (Brad) Stockman, and Emily Kellenberger; son Dennis (Mary) Augustine of Somers, Wisconsin and their children Nick (Meg) Augustine, Katie (Josh) Prybylski, Annie Augustine, and Joe (fiancé Alyssa Marten) Augustine; daughter Diane Pittman of Sun City, Arizona, and her children Danielle (Tim) Fogleman, and Dana (fiancé Mike Bocanegra) Pittman; daughter Marian (Chris) Gruhler of Kansas City, Missouri, and their children Hans (Michelle) Gruhler, Heidi Gruhler and Margaret Gruhler; daughter Yvonne (Mike) Sajdak of Cresco, Iowa, and their children Kris (Erica) Sajdak, and Brandon Sajdak; daughter Patty (Oscar) Jackson of Cresco, Iowa, and children Rachel (Dan) Vrba, and Jennifer (Adam) Gaul-Stout; daughter Karla (Dan) Duncan of Huntersville, North Carolina, and their son Ethan Duncan; and son Bill (Linda) Augustine of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and their daughter Brittney (Devin) Dorsey; two step grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; her siblings Lorene (Arnie) Kollasch, Rosemary (Allen) Vaske, Harold (Therese) Becker, Mark (Mary) Becker, Betty (Vernon “Bitz”) Berte, Norma (Don) Redding, Bob (Mary) Becker, Patricia Baumann, Marge Brcka, Joyce Wagner, and Jane (Donnie) Potthoff, and a sister-in-law Lorraine Vaske.

Preceding Dolores in death was her husband Greg, daughter Rosalie, son-in-law Bob Pittman, her brothers Frank Becker and Alvin and his wife Marge Becker, brothers-in-law Patrick Baumann, Ray Brcka and Lee Wagner.
