Found dead in her bed. Cresco Times, of 18th: - Mrs. Walchli, living with her brother on the John Blackburn farm, was found dead in her bed Friday morning. She has had heart disease for many years. – She was very much alarmed at the storm of Thursday night, but went to bed at midnight and it is thought she died soon after retiring. Her brother heard her little child, who slept beside her, calling to her in the morning, but heard no response and on going to her room found her dead; her hands were clasped under head as if her breath had stopped without a struggle. She came here with a family of seven children from Switzerland five or seven years ago, and her loss will be irreparable to the little flock now doubly orphaned.

Transcriber's Note: Find a Grave shows she was born June 21, 1857 and is buried in the New Oregon Cemetery.
