Robert “Bob” R. Freidhof, 84, of Cresco, IA passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Regional Health Services of Howard County in Cresco, IA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Notre Dame Parish in Cresco, IA. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Cresco, IA. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the church. Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home 404 N Elm Street Cresco, IA is in charge of arrangements.

Robert Raymond Freidhof was born on February 23, 1931, son of Edward and Helena (Diederich) Freidhof in Alta Vista, IA. He attended St. Williams Catholic High School in Alta Vista, graduating in 1949. After high school Bob enlisted into the United States Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on October 1, 1954 at Parks Air Force Base in California. On November 3, 1962, Bob married Lorraine Helmers in Alta Vista, Iowa. He was employed at Moormans Feed Company for 24 years, holding positions in sales and as district manager. At this time they first lived in Alta Vista, moved to Lourdes, then to Decorah. In 1971 they moved to Ridgeway living there until 2012, when they moved in to Cresco. Bob also drove school bus and delivered mail for the USPS. Bob served on Knights of Columbus, Past President of Cresco Country Club, Catholic Order of Foresters, Ridgeway Chamber, Cub Scout Leader, Ridgeway City Council, and coached League Baseball. He enjoyed playing a round of golf, bowling, playing cards, and gardening.

Bob is survived by his wife Lorraine of Cresco; his three sons, Rodney (Lori) Freidhof, Jeffrey (Jeannie) Freidhof, and Gregory Freidhof all of Cresco; 7 grandchildren, Nicholas, Leigh, Ben, Shannon, Kyler, Kolter, and Karley Freidhof; and brother, Adrian (Helen) Freidhof of New Hampton, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helena, sisters, Gertrude and Edith, brothers, Jerome, Fabian, and Cyrus, and siblings in infancy, Linus and Mary.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to Robert Freidhof.
