MRS. EMILY DAMON

Cresco, Ia. - Special: Funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Emily Damon, 82, who died Aug. 15 at Mercy Hospital following a paralytic strike. The Rev. G. W. Turner, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiated and burial was in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.

As Emily Robinson, she was born in Winnesheik County on Nov. 5, 1860. She was married to George Newton Damon on Feb. 15, 1882, and they lived on a farm until moving to Cresco about 40 years ago.

Mr. Damon died in 1938.

Surviving are two sons: Dr. E. R. Damon and George, both of Cresco' five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren
