An old pioneer of this section passed through the gates of death to the silent majority a week ago last Saturday. Willis Mead died from a cancer with which he had been suffering for several years. He was esteemed by all as an upright man, a useful citizen and a devoted Christian. The entire community condoles with the bereaved family in their sad affliction.
