The following resolutions of respect and sympathy were passed by Memorial Relief Corps, No. 164.

WHEREAS, It has pleased God in his divine wisdom, to call our dear sister Mrs. Fannie M. Smith, to a home in Heaven, and

WHEREAS, We deeply mourn our loss, we rejoice in our sister’s release from pain and sorrow, and her promotion to a place of permanancy and reward in a heavenly home. Therefore be it

RESOLVED, That in the person of Mrs. Fannie M. Smith, Memorial R. Corps No. 164, has lost a faithful member, the husband a devoted wife, and community a kind neighbor and the church a good member.

RESOLVED, That a copy of these resolutions be presented to the bereaved husband, also be spread on the corps records and sent to each of our town papers and Grand Army Advocate.

Transcriber’s Note: Cemetery records show she was born August 25, 1845, her maiden name was Noble and is buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
