Dorothy Meyers, 99, of Cresco, Iowa passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Evans Memorial Home in Cresco, Iowa. Dorothy Catherine Meyers was born on September 9, 1915 to Walter & Clarissa (Hovey) Bachman in Ridgeway, Iowa. She graduated from Decorah High School in 1932. She then attended Minneapolis Business College in 1934. She entered into marriage on November 28, 1939 to Robert E. Meyers of Cresco. Together they operated Meyers Greenhouse and Nursery in Cresco for 30 years, retiring in 1975. Dorothy was active in the Congregational Church for many years, then later at the First Lutheran Church both in Cresco. She loved to do many things throughout her life. She taught Sunday school for many years, enjoyed sewing and even belonged to a sewing club, crocheting, and in later years, the Red Hat Society. For 50 years she was a member of the Clio Federated Club. She also enjoyed golfing and fishing when time would allow. She is survived by a daughter Elaine (John) Hebrink of Blaine, Minnesota, a son Chuck (Dianne) Meyers of Plymouth, Iowa, 6 grandchildren, Craig (Bev) Hebrink, Brenda (Gary) Finseth, Chris (Melissa) Hebrink, Jeff (Missy) Hebrink, Suzanne (Gary) Miller, and Michelle Meyers, 11 great grandchildren, and a sister-in-law Margaret Bachman of Downers Grove, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, and two brothers, Walter and Marvin Bachman.

Visitation:
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.

Service:
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Cresco, Iowa.

Cemetery:
Burial will be in the New Oregon Cemetery in rural Cresco, Iowa.
