Death has reaped a bountiful harvest here and in the immediate vicinity during the last week. A number of Howard County's old and well-known residents have given way to the grim monster.

Mr. and Mrs. Rev. Isaacs died last Sunday within but a few hours of each other. A double funeral will be held next Friday. Their death is mourned by the whole community.

Another sad death was that of Mrs. W. P. Miller, which occurred last Friday morning. Mrs. Miller was an earnest Christian woman, always doing her duty in all the walks of life. She was much loved and respected, and it was with sorrow that the tidings of her death were received.
