CRESCO - Jean Carol Hinkle, 78 of Cresco, Iowa passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8 at the Cresco Care Center.

Jean Carol Hinkle was born February 4, 1936 in New London, Conn.

On June 30, 1951, she married John Jefferson Hinkle. They lived in Norwich, Conn. before relocating to Iowa in 1985.

Jean is survived by two daughters: Donna (Ivan) Kuhn of Charles City, Iowa and Liberty (Wayne) Shaffer of Austin, Texas; and numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Carol Ann, in 1979; and her husband, John Jefferson Hinkle, in 2005.

A small family service will be held in August.
