Steven James McIntyre, age 62 of Cresco died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in Rochester, Minnesota surrounded by his family. Steven was born January 30, 1952 in Cresco to James and Doris (Lucas) McIntyre. He graduated from Cresco High School in 1970. He married Miriam Wiedeman on September 23, 1972 at the United Methodist Church in Cresco. Following high school he worked at Northern Engraving in Lansing, Iowa, after that he worked for 4 years at White Farm Implement in Charles City, Iowa. In 1977 he took over his father-in-law’s livestock trucking business which he operated until 1983. From 1983 to 1995 he worked at Bert’s Canhouse in Cresco. Since 1995 he has worked at Featherlite as a welder. Steven enjoyed camping, fishing, making his own fishing tackle, tinkering with anything electrical including his CB and HAM radio, sitting around a bonfire, spending time with Miriam watching Packer football games and time with his friends, family, and dog Franny. He is survived by his wife Miriam of Cresco; two sons: Charlie McIntyre of Cresco, Michael McIntyre and fiancé Breannah Jensen of Cresco; one granddaughter, Sophia and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Danny McIntyre and a cousin, Doug McIntyre.

9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the United Methodist Church, 310 N. Elm St. Cresco, Iowa.
