Unexpected death.

Wednesday afternoon John Torston, book keeper for Johnson Bros. died while sitting in his chair in the presence of the two Mrs. Johnsons and perhaps one or two others. He had been unwell for a few days but was so as to be up and about eating his dinner with the family as usual. After dinner he was conversing with the Mrs. Johnsons and others occupying a large rocking chair with his feet upon another chair. They observed all at once an unusual appearance about his face, a relaxation of the muscles of the body and reclining back in his chair, he was dead. Deceased was about twenty-five years of age, was an exemplary young man who was a universal favorite among his friends, countrymen and acquaintances. He had but one relative, we understand, in this country, who had the sad news telegraphed to him, at Dyersville, where he is employed and who is expected in Cresco to aid in the last sad site for his brother.
