Pilot Grove Correspondence.

It becomes our sad duty to note the shocking death of an uncle, Marcellus Teetshorn. near White Water Wis, on the 4th inst., at the age of 65 yrs. He went on Monday, Mar, 2nd some four miles from home for a load of hay. He got the hay loaded on his wagon and was adjusting the binding pole when the team started up throwing him off on the frozen ground on his head producing a concussion of the brain from which he died two days later without recovering consciousness, In 1850 deceased went overland to the gold fields of California. After a stay of a few years he returned to the old home where he has since resided.

A widow, four brothers and two sisters, and numerous more distant relatives, remain to mourn his death. An honest man sleeps in death.
