DIED.
LIGHT.—In Cresco, Iowa, May 2, 1890, Frances A. Light, wife of George M. Light, aged thirty years.
Frances A. Salisbury was born Sept. 16, 1859, in the state of Missouri. Her father died when she was but two years old. Soon after this, her mother with the family removed to Sparta, Wisconsin. In 1878 the family came to Howard county, where the deceased met George M. Light and was united with him in marriage Sept. 26, 1879. Two children have been born to them, who thus early are bereft of a fond mother’s loving care. That fell destroyer consumption having secured a hold upon her, she was brought to an early grave, leaving a husband and two sons to mourn her death. Reared in a Christian family, she was early taught the Christian way. Three years ago she experienced a saving faith in her Savior and died with the consciousness of her acceptance of God. She was aware for some time that she must soon die, but was not afraid to go. Life held forth every inducement to live, and she longed to stay with husband and children who were all in all to her. But against God’s will she would not rebel and died peacefully after a lingering, painful illness.
She has a mother, two sisters and two brothers living at LeSuer, Minn., and a brother at Sparta, Wis. Her sister at LeSuer is very low with the same disease, preventing the attendance of her funeral of all but one brother. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of the community in their sad affliction. COM.
